By far the worst opening ceremony in the present day….super embarassing and dissapointing to me as an American. Freaking Superbowl is 100 times better prepared and its a sport only Americans watch, but to treat the WORLD sport in such a disgraceful way….ugh. no words.

Kinda disappointed we go all guns blazing when it comes to the Rose Bowl and the Olympics but this is sad Katy Perry and the little boy singing was good and so was the national anthem
How is it out of as many people that consume this stuff nobody is asking "why are we celebrating grown men kicking a ball around a field?" Humanity has been duped, and will never be able to recover at this point. Pure hot garbage, all sports, all distractions, all people consumed by these things. Wake up you knuckleheads. Canada and Mexico had some of the most meaningful songs that truly represented their cultures, unity. I was a little disappointed with the U.S. performance—I think they could have done better. Also, for those saying the stadiums had empty seats, that was only in the U.S. The stadiums in Mexico and Canada were full. Nothing against US but wasn’t impressed.
This was the most mid opening out of all the three LOL – just a bunch of Hamilton larping. Native American culture and African American culture would have represented US better. Smh, even Canada paid respect to their indigenous people.
Not to mention, US is home to many immigrants, including those that are from countries participating – smh, would have been perfect to pay hommage to them and their disaporas in the US too.
American 🇺🇸 here, sorry but this was an underwhelming performance. We are not all defined by lazy hip-hop and pop music. Would have been nice to see other genres of music representing us. Future looked dead inside. Mexico 🇲🇽 killed it 🎉
