    At the end of the day, if carrick does well he will get the job. I can’t see a world where he has a good winning percentage playing entertaining football and doesn’t get the job tbh

    Absolute NONSENSE. There is No Shortlist. If you so-called "journalists" actually did your job you would have a better idea who Manchester United's next manager will be. But you would need to go back and research your own work. Our next manager was hired way back when Ten Hag was sacked. It's about time the media was exposed for their non-stop speculation that they claim is "journalism" it's an absolute joke. INEOS hired Manchester United's next manager a long time ago but he was contracted for the World Cup so this is why they hired Ruben Amorim and kept him for so long despite the results. Ruben Amorim was mostly hired to repair the culture at the club and fix the toxic environment exactly like he did at Sporting. Ruben Amorim got himself sacked because INEOS wanted to keep him until after the World Cup. This forced INEOS to bring in an interim manager to finish the season.

    If the media actually did their job properly instead of always assuming the worse, fan's would realise that INEOS are not as incompetent or unprepared as they think. I assumed Manchester United would have hired a World Cup manager way back when they were speaking to managers to replace Ten Hag. This made the most logical sense. In fact, it common sense but no media outlet reported it.

    Ruben Amorim was always going to be a short-term manager. That was very obvious too and Ruben Amorim told the media this from day one. His primary role was to repair the toxic culture in the club exactly like he had at Sporting because INEOS couldn't allow this to continue. INEOS didn't expect his win rate to be so bad but they had to stick with him until their actual appointment could arrive after the World Cup. INEOS didn't want to sack Amorim but they had to. He forced them to bring in an interim to finish the season.

    All of this makes perfect sense when you see that every new transfer the club makes is an INEOS signing and not a manager signing. INEOS are building a squad ready for their new manager to come in after the World Cup.

    This is also the reason why nobody in the media has reported INEOS interviewing anyone. They don't need to because their new manager signed for us back before Ruben Amorim. Obviously, INEOS cannot make this public yet because that would cause problems for this manager with his current World Cup team.

    I can't wait until this finally comes out and all of these INEOS haters suddenly realise that they are not as incompetent as people assume. INEOS know what they are doing and they are following the same plan that they had when they arrived. Unfortunately, football fans have the memory of a fish and forget everything season to season.

    INEOS are trying to build the most successful and profitable football team in the world so of course they are planning years ahead in advance. INEOS are not the Glazers. INEOS want everything that the fans want but this takes time. I have faith that they will get us their but as fans we need to be patient. 2 years is not being patient. INEOS are hoping to win the league in the 27/28 season and this is a very realistic and achievable target.

    Onlyy carrick, we have coach here, why go for big name, we have been that route. Why not give carrick he knows united way. We need manager whi understand olayers and club.
