Excellent set ups and acting by Vini. He created those penalties. No fan of RMA – especially Vini. But smart play.
Vini got in a groove, drawing the penalties in the 50-50 situations which look like a dive to me in replay, but may seem like a legit penalty in dynamics.
I maintain our problem has been predictability upfront with Mbappe and Vini. Our only attacking outlets, and they both want the ball at their feet to run at defenders. Any top team (manager) can effectively neutralize that with straightforward adjustments – reason we struggle against almost every big team. Cos they turn the pressure on the midfield and a defense not built to hold pressure.
In this game there were other attacking options explored (Partly due to Trent's contributions). Eg. Valverde and Carreras's positions before goal 3 @ 5:00 is not sth usual esp with Vini n Mbappe also on.
