  1. This is what people need to understand: wars are awful and football should not be used to create enemies (like on some countries happen between fans of rival teams). Lest we forget.

  2. All these videos are pointless the players are just reading a script. Also since when did professional footballers become anything more than ball kickers.

  3. This game of football also showed the effects of war. The soldiers thought that the war would be finished before Christmas, so that they could go home to their families and celebrate with them. When that didn't happen, the soldiers suggested a "Christmas truce".

When the same thing was suggested a year later in 1915, it was instantly denied as tension had build up. And those who became "friends" during Christmas 1914, was in a war for the next year and killed each other's family and friends.

  4. The quintessence for all of us working and middle class citizens: we never will allow any power-hungry oligarchs to drive us to hatred for one another. Our real enemies aren`t the normal guys in foreign land, but the selfish, cold-hearted so called elites inside our own countries.

  5. try to watch this without crying <3 :/ it seams ironic today in a world, full of hate, and intolerance, to here that story, that tells that peace is posible, even though our leaders today, as well as then, fail to realize it. once again we pray for such miracle, but it just seams getting darker :/
