  1. So you're not going to bring up the non-call in the MNUFC/Colorado game where Bombito has a very late challenge outside the box that should have been called?

  2. Hard disagree with those last two. Handball and redcard

In the highlight, it looks pretty clear the Vancouver player bats the ball down. That said….the refs have been so bad with handball calls this year that the rule of "natural position" doesn't make any sense considering how handballs are being called. Seems so arbitrary now

Red card on that last highlight. He doesn't pull out until he makes contact and it doesn't look REALLY bad only because it wasn't his plant leg thank god. But studs up….mid/high shin. Thats red card all day

  3. Wiebe, I love you, but you missed the obvious foul on Rossi prior to the Araujo tug, and the jersey tug should have caused the player to fall back, not forward. He dove

  4. Directed at the MLS and FIFA… They successfully tackle instant replay, but can't figure to put a second official on a 120 yard field. The NFL has a 100 yard field and several officials.

  5. That last play should've been a red car. The intention was to cause harm with that tackle, and only because the guy pulled up to avoid full contact doesn't negate the severity of it.

  6. This is a joke. The Vancouver handball was not in a natural position, you see the player raise his hand to bring the ball back to his control, from another angle they showed in the game the ball was bouncing away from him. The ref was biased against Miami. It’s ok, you won’t come out and say it but just know everybody sees through your bias.

  7. The Atlanta DOGSO is questionable. I wouldn’t have given it. The ball was moving fast and United had 2 defenders trailing. To say that the on the field decision was a clear and obvious mistake is rather questionable. I personally view that play as such: whatever the call on the field was, should have stood. If it was red, keep sit red, if it was no foul, don’t over turn it. It’s too close

  8. why was there nothing mentioned about the Charlotte Philladelphia game?? I was there live and there were at least 2 penalty shouts, not to mention just bad officiating. I would have liked to see that game covered here

  9. Andrew you missed an even more difficult part of the Atlanta DOGSO. The attacker also had an accidental handball when the ball was headed off his hand. So if he had scored off this play, it goes to VAR and, assuming they see it, it’s called back for a handball directly leading to a goal. So how can it be a goal scoring opportunity if they couldn’t legally score from it?

Probably one of the most complex decisions I’ve ever seen in soccer’s VAR era, and I’ll be really interested to hopefully see if anything is talked about on inside video review. I have a feeling no one in the booth even saw the handball.

  10. I think Guzan stuck out his leg intentionally, and i bet the reffing crew thought so to. given that as context i'd award it as a dogso offense every time unless there was zero chance of him regaining control of the ball

  11. For the non offsides in Colorado match. It comes down to when the kick point is chosen. When the right one is chosen, the attacker’s head is off.

  12. I think that one on Choinere is a red card, he really only pulls out after the initial contact. It doesn’t look as bad because the defender’s leg isn’t planted as he pulls back in anticipation of the contact. If the defender keeps his leg there, Choinere would’ve made nasty contact. This was endangering the safety of the player in my opinion

  13. If that’s not DOGSO, then the DOGSO gift from Portland to LAFC was absolutely not DOGSO. But, it’s LAFC. đŸ€·

  14. Morris fell after Araujo let go. That was a dive and he was never getting to the ball so the game wasn't affected. I don't even think it's a pull, he held it for a split second but he let go almost instantly.

  15. I think the biggest criticism I have of the Orlando-Columbus call, even though it was the right call, is the fact that a full minute of gametime is played before the other foul happens. It’s one of those where how much time between two calls is too much time and it almost encroaches on re-refereeing the game, which I think a lot of us really don’t want VAR to be. It’s the right call in the end, it’s just feels like one of those things where multiple phases of play happened between the two and they rewound a large portion of the game to fix one mistake.
