Realizing how good other are can help you reach a new level. Imagine if you always play with people below your level, then you think you are the king but also aren't learning as much.
Players like Ronaldo and messing into clubs like the ones they’ve gone to because they don’t have to train as hard, they don’t have to work as hard as they did 10-12 years ago, because they are just simply so much better than the level of opponent. It’s a huge money grabbing plot, neither of them give a hoot about the club or the fans, maybe it might give the team mates a lift but hit a huge one.
