Solanke's goal should not have been ruled off by VAR. It has to be conclusive that he was offside, and to that you have to start with the initial pass. If you are using TV camera footage, the ball always looks like a blur, as does the players foot. If the decision on the pitch is a goal, then VAR has to start with the initial pass first and then draw the line. As it currently stands it can never be, so the on pitch decision should stand. To further this, the main issue is that we have gone away from level and daylight offside to measuring distances using TV footage where the image quality becomes worse as you zoom in. Worse yet, they are determining accuracy from camera angles that are never in line with play. Where their distance of the camera ranges from 15-40 metres away. It is flawed, and rather than acknowledge it. That have doubled-down, determined to prove its worth.
Trent has been a decent defender this season until these last two games. If a player goes down the right side against Liverpool they are guaranteed at-least a decent cross
Tot needs a good finisher. There are no finishers. The only good cross comes from Son but he cannot be both the cross and the finisher.
