  1. Semih’s biggest issue is that he sometimes doesn’t lift his head at all. But every now n then, that same issue somehow turns into a crazy goal. He’s honestly a really good finisher, but not being able to keep things simple has held him back almost every time he’s gotten minutes. Just when we were saying “this kid is going to be our wonderkid,” the choices he started making began to stand out more n more to the fans each game.

At first, we were saying he wasn’t getting chances, and when he did, he was forcing things to prove himself. But later on, even after his spot felt more secure, he kept trying to dribble past four or five guys in situations where a simple pass would’ve done the job. The turnovers added up, and he started to fall out of favor.

At Cagliari, he’s slowly getting some minutes again. Hopefully he’s left those bad habits behind. The goal he scored today was beautiful, no doubt. But if he’d lost the ball trying one of those dribbles, you just know a lot of people… and teammates included… would’ve been on him.

Anyway, enjoy the goal, kid. Hopefully as ur game keeps developing, we’ll keep seeing goals like this and your name popping up more often. Best of luck.
