    The best American to play in the MLS was Hugo Sanchez. Yes, gringos are not the only Americans, and none who played in MLS come close to Hugo. The best American…..Messi, Pele, Maradona, Hugo, etc. The best USA player….Miguel Ponce. Ponce won gold against Brazil in Olympics…..particpated in world cup…….etc.
