It's Friday night, so don't forget…and then I proceed to spend 4 free transfers in the space of 5 minutes. Anyway, my team now has Salah, Haaland, Palmer, Saka, Mbeumo, Wood and Dalot for good measure…I'm going to go pass out now.
I find it quite interesting that people are only now concluding that Haaland isn't worth the money. There is nothing new about him wasting a lot of xG and missing chances so it isn't really variance. He has always been like this as his finishing is quite often poor. He has scored 12 goals in 12 games so actually in terms of goals he is still over-performing on his usual goal return.
The truth of it is he was never worth 15m. Not now, not at the start of the season, not ever. His pricing is absurd and makes no statistical sense. He wasn't even the top scorer last season. Palmer, Saka and Foden all scored more points than him and Watkins wasn't far off so how can he be priced 5m more than those guys? I believe Palmer and also Salah will outpoint him again this season or at least finish on similar points. There was no statistical justification whatsoever to price him at 15m.
Yes he scores hat-tricks which people seem to fixate on and be scared of but there are also plenty of games where he will blank or only get 5-6pts. You have to look at the overall total points he typically scores over a season compared to the other players. He would need to average 2 returns a game to justify that price which he doesn't. Even if he scores a hat-trick, this is only 17pts. Salah or Palmer can get 16 from just 2 goals or 11 points just from 1 goal.
Another hat trick is coming and I bet non owners will shit themselves and start tearing up their teams to bring him back as if the hat trick has reminded them of his capabilities only for him to then get a mediocre 2, 8, 2 and 7 in his next 4 games and be outpointed by forwards who are a third of the price.
I haven't owned Haaland all season and won't get him at any point as to me, simple maths show that if he continues at his usual points return then it won't be anywhere near enough to warrant 15m.
Halaand its time to go, but will need 2x transfers

Salah captain after penalty miss and 90 minutes at Wednesday, nah… even at his great form now against broken City, I think he wont perform quite well. Going for Palmer captaincy this week, he was resting whole week waiting weekend to come. Plus he had couple of blanks so I expect him to explode
