We can't look past Southgate's efforts or England's recent efforts in the World Cup in general. Semi final, quarter final, and now semi final again. All we need is that win now.

I’d wait until after Wednesday for the Southgate comparisons. If Argentina beat England, Tuchel won’t have done anything Southgate didn’t do (WC Semis 2018). If England make the final, by all means make those comparisons

Southgate was fine, he produced a team that was boring to watch playing defensively but got results. Tuckle has produced a team that plays out pressuring opposition that's great to watch. As of yet neither manager has out done one another so slow down and let's see
Tuchel is garbage Bellingham and Kane making look better than he is any coach with some common sense would put Trent in the WC squad
Tuchel has proved hes capable, but this is where they bow out and exit the main stage. The next cup is when England becomes a threat because he will now know how to build a stronger team and who he will need.
Southgate, 2 semi's and a Final. Better than any manager in my lifetime and I'm 45. Alf Ramsey won it and Bobby Robson had a good go , then it's been pure sht until Southgate gave the team it's identity back. Trouble with Southgate is he's a bought and paid for FA man. And I don't think Thomas gives AF about the FA.

Bit early to big-up Tuchel…. Southgate got England to a semi-final too. Will Tuchel get us to the final and lift the trophy. One thing I see about this England team is the absolute desire to win. I've never seen an England team this driven before.
Plenty of positive things came out of Southgate's time in charge, but it was so apparent well before the last Euros that he had become the limiting factor.
Messi, next Game: "Don't cry for me Argentina", but this "England Team" improved by an german Coach is to strong for us on every Level, even fighting spirit.

Tuchel is a top trainer. He’s a no bs guy but he’s a perfectionist and because of that teams do have a problem with him. PSG, Bayern don’t forget.
Southgate did the heavy lifting. He gets too much stick – most people are low iq sheep. Southgate is an unsung hero. He took an England team that was hopeless and made them believe it was possible to win and was inches away from lifting a trophy.
Tuchel management is strict and tough some even harder than Copello but he has proven success.The players need to trust and believe in him if we can beat Vargentina then surely the players have to believe.
To be fair, Southgate took us to two finals and a semi! I’m praying Tuchel is the man to win it for us though

Typical short memory people have when it comes to football. Substations were the only thing everyone was praising Southgate for in 2024. Remember the impact Watkins and Palmer made off the bench for instance. This happened throughout the tournament.
Frankly I think Tuchel makes some very weird substitutions and they are often quite negative.
I totally admire Gareth Southgate
He got results, restored self-belief, was so likeable and his gentlemanly behaviour also had a good influence, not only on the team but also on the fans.
He's done nothing that Southgate didn't do calm down .
