  1. Only "wrong" point about him is that he will not be in the firts Bundesliga next year, but will be in the Premier League with Brighton. But this was not clear at the time you pubblished the video.
Too bad for german soccer not having the chance to see gis team.
He renew his contract just few days before be contacted from Bighton (… or was this a great chess like move?). Brighton paid 10M to free him from St. Pauli, making this the highest amount the team got in trading. And not for a player (this is 5M) but for a manager! 😉

  2. He basically took the Moroccan tactics and adapted it slightly. The fact that you failed to mention it is a bit disappointing. It may be unique to club football but morocco have been running this play style for years.

  3. Calling him an american is hilarious. Did you only look up where he was born?

"Hürzeler was born in Houston, Texas, to a Swiss father and a German mother while they were working in the United States. His family moved back to Germany when he was two years old."

  4. This sucks so much that he is going to leave us just after promotion. The same thing happened to St Pauli in 2011. Our coach went to Hoffenheim and then we got relegated back to the 2. Bundesliga. This really stinks.

  5. Hi, a small query.

Isn't this what ETH is trying to implement at Utd .?? Atleast in possession.

Sacrificing midfield for numerical advantage in attack.
Counter pressing high up the pitch to win and counter attack high up the pitch ???

Pls let me know if I am wrong.
I can see ETH didn't get the defence and rest defence right .
