Good for him π enjoy seeing the final at your home Atleti π₯°
I was wondering why Llorente played 90 mins last night, no wonder π
Marcos Llorente had a 1st half in a much more defensive role;
although he contributed at times and even to a quite helpful degree in the attack of his higher role during the second half;
his "Lock-down" defense virtually negating 1/3 of the space they had to defend, in my opinion(with 20/20 hindsight) Simeone thought, believed and/or felt that Atleti could take a goal advantage from this first leg and that the best way to attempt to attain it would require him sacrificing a more secure defense for another number forward. Perhaps Llorente, although he covers tons of ground and this statement might seem disrespectful to him, but I reckon he's only able to lockdown defend when he keeps that his priority. If not, he may(I submit that he WILL, not just may) sort of overextend himself and expose all sorts of his weaknesses to his opposition, whereas if he sticks to merely defending, he has almost none. His weakness would only be his balance isnt as strong as some, especially the larger players can throw him off his balance a bit too much that although he can still own anyone in man marking, he wouldnt be one to trust in the central of defense in the goal box especially. Harry Kane would destroy him for example because he is so superior to him in that attribute category.
