Real madrid v bayern 2018-19 preseason i remember seeing the game in houston the day before my sister n i went to the hotel madrid was staying at i remember my sister had texted modric before he arrived to hotel asking for a picture i kid you not when madrid players got off the bus all the players went straight inside meanwhile modric was the only one humble enough to go up to my sister and sign her shirt and take a picture.. i had goosebumps realizing he was right in front me… best midfield player ever. Luka went into a stacked real madrid midfield and has since proven himself over and over, for club and country, to be the greatest among them. An honor to have seen him play.
Still remember after the World Cup 2018- just got into soccer, and all I knew was Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldo. I watched Modric play, and I was like “he’s got to be up there. Next thing you know he won the Ballon d’Or soon after. He’s one of the game’s greatest.
