No no typical fox changing facts red cards have never been suspended for another day!!! That is cheating. They have been rescinded but FIFA had already said it upheld its decision. Then trump had to call his soon to be fired friend. Now all the lawsuits coming will be great to see cause cheaters get what they deserve

The only thing 'corrupt' here is that other bad calls aren't suspended in the same manner. Things would be better if these corrections were MORE common rather than making everyone suffer through whatever bad calls they were forced to deal with.
Iran should have their goal reviewed.
Germany should have their last game’s goal reviewed.
Croatia should have their last games goal reviewed.
Fouls are subjective to each referee…but goals are NOT.
The VAR is a tool in FIFA’s box that they use to knock out teams that are not slated to win.

The problem isn't the reversal of red card itself. It's how the reversal was processed… Did the President of the country call FIFA to reverse the ruling? Did Ronaldo's red card get reversed because Portugal leadership made a phone call to FIFA???
That's the problem! That's the issue! A precedent has been set now…
1. The red card was unnecessary.
2. Red cards have only been suspended a handful of times. The example she mentioned with Garrincha in 1962 involved political intervention by the president of Brazil and Peru. According to reporters the president of the USA called FIFA asking to review to the Balogun red card. I wouldn't be surprised if Portugal was involved with Ronaldo's red card penalty being dropped from 3 games to 1.
3. I have no issues with red card suspensions or removals, but the system should be fair for all countries. If FIFA will allow some countries to influence them into suspending red cards, they should set up an appeal system every country and team can use. (In the World Cup there is no Red Card Appeal system at the moment)

The integrity of FIFA competitions is completely gone (if there ever was any). The broadcasters are doing a disservice to their by claiming there is precedence for this and that is anything other than corruption at the highest level.
Our LORD and SAVIOR our DEAR LEADER Trump deserves all the credit….FIFA needs to award him with the WORLD CUP…if he does not get it than we will take it and present it to the Dear LEADER and a symbol of our loyalty.

Ronaldo’s red card wasn’t given in World Cup play, it was the warm ups to the World Cup.
But there’s a difference between cutting a suspension from three to one and cutting it out entirely (or opting for “probation”). The former happens routinely and has clear provisions for making it happen. The latter does not.
I can’t speak to what happened in 1962. I’m still too angry over the decision not to send off Argentinian players in the 1930 semifinal.
I'm quite ashamed that this even happened all because of our president wanting to put his nose in things and making things look even worse than it needs to be. The team was prepared to play without Balogun until this happened and now all of the praise that the US had is now going to be canceled no thanks to this reversal and it's a shame. This team was going to make the country proud and it still might be the case but it will come with an asterisk due to Trump wanting to always put his stamp on something that didn't need to happen.
Excuses – if the US does not decline the overturned red card any win going forward will be tarnished and questioned.
Why would
Belgium not want to plus us at full strength?! If you beat Argentina with Messi did you really beat them ? If you beat England without Kane does it really count ? The best players should play and if a player is wrongfully red carded fifa should overturn those bad calls period . Messi had a similar play and was awarded not even a yellow card !
