As a supporter of a team that won the MLS Cup before, I still think the Supporters Shield winner is clearly the better team 🤷🏻♀️
In the US, the winner of the playoffs (MLS Cup) will always be viewed as "The Champs". The Supporters Shield will be viewed as a nice little side gift, playoff seeding, etc…but it's just not as important as MLS Cup and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. We aren't in Europe folks. If we were, then the Supporters Shield would be the Ultimate Trophy. This is the US. It's MLS Cup no matter how badly you may want to believe otherwise
