  1. Disgraceful

They packed the stadium with Brazilian supporters and fans, whipped the crowd into a frenzy to rally behind the team, and manufactured a true "home game" atmosphere—yet, in the end, they still lost.

It has been over two decades since the Brazilian football empire last reigned supreme; in the interim, they suffered a crushing 7-1 defeat at the hands of Germany—a loss that effectively signaled the collapse of that empire. When a young Japanese player named Shiogai voiced an honest, unvarnished opinion based on reality, Brazilian players—clinging to past glories they hadn't personally achieved—demanded respect, attempting to deny the fact that the current Brazil lacks its former invincibility.

Ultimately, however, that young Japanese player was proven right.

The fact that the current Brazil is beatable was immediately demonstrated when Norway defeated them 2-1—the same scoreline by which Brazil had beaten Japan.

Clinging to past glory is perhaps the hallmark of a dying empire.

No one would say the same about French football, which is constantly evolving; France does not waste time vainly boasting about the past.

The landscape of world football has changed.

Brazil needs to rebuild its football program—and if they truly take pride in their history, that is all the more reason to do so.

The era of aimless wandering must end.

    Congratulations to Norway.

Their tactics and game plan for defeating Brazil worked almost perfectly, as did the individual performances of players fulfilling their assigned roles.

Haaland, too, performed admirably, fully delivering on the tasks required of him.

Congratulations, Norway—a magnificent team possessing the intelligence to execute a game plan and the strong unity needed to master their tactics.

  2. Their coach didn’t even break a sweat when his team was on the brink of elimination…Neymar should have played early on in the game…they need to investigate the lackluster performance of Brazil

  3. Feel bad to say this but some South American teams are some of the worst athletes I've seen. They love playing victims and are always looking for a fight in a game. Not all of them, but quite a massive amount of them.
