I love Henry; amazing player; one of the best in history in his position I would even say; and an outstanding football panelist and commentator. But I think he is emotionally driven and lost it this time. Is remarkably surprising to me, that everyone is now “surprised” about players covering their mouths on the pitch; when this has been common practice since the 90 at least. Unless you started watching football a couple of years ago, and maybe you watch a league where this isn’t common; I would say this happens ALL the time on the pitches of the best leagues. On the other hand; and is even embarrassing to even bring it up here and in this point and time; is that one of the maxims of law (and any rules in life) says that “the burden of proof is on the one who makes the claim”, and really so far we only have heresy instead of proofs. In other words, Real Madrid has to come with real proofs of what they claim; and consider all sort of past history of events with certain players. There is nothing conclusive that proves what the Benfica player said. Nothing at all. Mbappe clearly lies; and now he can be involved in something that can penalized him as well. And I fear that if they finally penalize Piestrianni and they do not do it with Mbappe (who has been seen clearly vocalized an homophonic slur); will bring a dangerous precedent. Besides; it seems unreal to me, that most of the people who watched played the likes of Paolo Di Canio come here now to give us lessons of how we should think about this.
