No bastoni, dimarco, barella, mikhytarian, thuram and acerbi….still won against arsenal.
Chelsea defense is shaky
Inzaghi was playing for the tie. Even if Inter lose, he would not of cared because they were still in a good position in Champions. Even if Arsenel were awarded the penalty, the fact remains it would have ended in a tie. Inter would still be ahead and then Arsenal fans would be complaining about not winning against Inter. The game is done. Move on.
Inter even rested some of their key players.
Loves a question to get the headline: sums up Carragher 😅
Merinho is slow not aggressive, no vision and has no close ball skills.
Bring Henry back to the squad and he will do a better job than our first 11
A couple of weeks ago Thierry said he wanted to see Arsenal have a statement win in Europe away from home, like the one his team had at Inter 5:1, years ago. We can see how far the current team is from that, missing one playmaker and we're clueless in the build up. Crossing the ball over 40 times against an Italian team is not a tactic, its crying for help
Arsenal is now out of ideas..no creativity and no real finisher are proven to be the cause
The issue is more deep then people realise – Arteta is too stubborn to change his system. It was always going to be hard to break down the Inter defence and Arteta knew that yet still played his system that essentially put them in a corner. When you are at this level, you just need to win. I can understand if Arteta didn’t want to change because the system works usually but it works against high-lines, not deep blocks. They have struggled against them in the Prem over the last 2 years, he can’t expect it to work against one of the best defensively disciplined teams in Europe. Nwaneri should’ve come on earlier and been urged to drive into the Inter defence to make them do something, Saka and Martinelli should’ve looked to shoot more. Even if they didn’t believe they’d go in, it would’ve pulled Inter out and then they could’ve looked to cross but they just kept crossing without creating any space or chances for it. Arteta’s stubbornness is the reason and every issue that has been blamed for these losses all have been impacted by it.
Henry is so much better than the other 2 and honest as well as knowing what he is talking about. As an AFC fan we're worse than the previous 2 years, now letting in more goals and do not like scoring in games especially in open play. Even though we were not good again that should not be a penalty the ball goes to his arm, his arm cannot disappear and was not intentional, then we do not get a penalty for the keeper punching our player in the head missing the ball. Handball rule needs to go back to the original rule for intentional handball.
Stay humble eh? @Arsenal fans 😂😂😂
They wouldn't consider that penalty "harsh" if it was the other way around.
I'm so sick of them always defending English teams and never giving enough respect to the others, specially italian teams.
You can tell Titi butt's still burning from when he wasn't enough for the early 2000 Serie A and they use to spank him at every occasion when he left.
Poor, poor, journalism.
As Cristina said, that as being a penalty 10/10 for the past 5/6 years
And I'm a Juventus fan. If someone "hates" Inter, that's me. But this all discussions is awful…
what would this american lady know about football? her answer is oh because it's done for 5 years. bro, the rules are dumb.
rubbish. giving a pen (basically a goal), in football, a low-scoring game, just for this, is stupid.
People need to understand arsenal are full of mid players being hyped day in and out by english pundits they get cooked all the time in europe and yes that was a penalty
I like henry but he is always nowhere to be found when arsenal doing well but immediately arsenal going through tough times there goes henry, this guy is jealous of arteta 😂
Where is the reaction to City's loss vs Sporting? I don't get it
Boring football 😂
As an avid supporter for both Arsenal and Inter, whenever these two meet it’s like seeing your kids fight against each other. Happy that Inter won but sad that Arsenal lost.
I prefer to hear an ex UEFA referees on this matter. Now it’s VAR!! No difference between the past and present.
We've gone back to side to side football, some deadwood to get rid of.
