Is it? Kinsky can barely stand after the second howler. I guess it's a matter of perspective as I see it as mercy on him.
For me, Subbing him off at that point was the harsh but right decision. The guy has no match sharpness, so he shouldn't carry on under the pressure after the two huge mistakes he made.The wrong decision was playing him in the first place.
Tudor did NOTHING to Kinsky.
He chose Kinsky because he believed in him when you make 2 errors back to back and concede 3 goals inside 15 minutes, you are already rattled and cannot concentrate. Everyone wishes he kept him on for longer so it doesn’t “look bad” but at that point the coach had to make the decision to put the team over one players current battle with self confidence.
I absolutely empathise with Kinsky and I wish his first UCL start didn’t go that way, but him being subbed off is not the bad part. The bad part was the first 15 minutes of the game and I hope he’s able to make a career comeback.
