Spot clean them using a cloth and a leather cleaner and then spray glove deodoriser, there are anti microbial sprays made for things like this and you can even put a thin sock filled with rice and some baking soda inside the glove to sit overnight to soak up excess moisture without damaging it
Just stick a bar of nicefy fragranted soap in each glove in between uses and it will take care of the smell every time. I have about 10 bars of Dove soap, for the sole purpose of sticking it in stuff….
I was a goalie in 80’s. Back then goalie gloves were still pretty new (long before anti microbial materials) Needless to say my teammates wouldn’t let me keep my gloves in the locker room once they figured out what was causing the smell. 😂
This is how I contribute to the AITA thread as a goalkeeper. I usually carry two sets of gloves to each match: my game time Reusch gloves and a set of gloves I wear the first apex. 10 minutes. The gloves I wear that 1st 10 minutes are cheap, disposable (if necessary) and covered with raspberry or mango lip balm. Reason, I intentionally give up a corner in the first 10 to draw someone into marking the keeper. While the refs are distracted by their duties, I smear the greased up gloves on the face the guy marking me. Nearly always, it doesn't get noticed as anything more than the goalie attempting to be a tough guy. The real fun starts with …. the lip balm is waterproof, and the pungent aroma gets more intense as the player runs more and more and the smell becomes more and more distracting. Often, not close to always, the affected player gets pissed at me and will attempt something blatant and illegal which is always rewarded with a red card.
My friends did that on the way home from a travle game😭🤣
It is football
As a goalkeeper, I can confirm
Incredibly stupid clip
Goalkeeper gloves are I’m sure a close second. Only beaten by soccer cleats left in their parents car over the weekend.
Football
man those gloves are brutal lol
Nah atleast where I’m from it was the geese those mfs were dropping mines all over the field
Why don't you put foot powder in them before the game or lysol spray and wash them with laundry disinfect also made by lysol .
Shin guards are worse

As a goalkeeper, definitely playing next to an animal food factory was worse. The fish food days were hell
If you know you know 😂
Ware a different pair each game or practice
Worst smell is when everyone opens their filthy bag in the Dressing room. Like why can’t footballers wash their stuff? Smell like old sweat and mold.

I use the hate taking my gloves off after practice/games because I knew that it was gonna smell. 😭 my hands sweat without them on already.
My golf gloves
Players: The worst smell is definitely cleats after a rainy day
Goalkeepers: Oh you don’t know what ACTUALLY stinks
