  1. @1:25:30 John, this team is going nowhere with Pulisic not on point at the 9 doing the hero ball he does better than any Western Hemisphere player except for Messi, continuing to look lost in build-up after 7-8 years of not getting it despit the formation/tactics/opponents, and with two nearly 40 year old players stacked behind him on the pitch. Two ugly losses and we're out.

  2. Awesome. 🥲 Just awesome. For one hour and thirty minutes I was that kid again living in the San Fernando Valley laying on the living room floor next to my older sister with my mom and my aunt sitting on the couch watching World Cup USA 94 Soccer. Oh the memories.

  3. Now… All of you… support USL like US Soccer did for you and MLS. Stop Garber from trying destroy competition and get the World's Game to be played like all of the other leagues… Pro/Rel and the Pyramid that grows the sport!

  4. With these players lacked in skill and ability they made up for with grit, conditioning, and personality. From 1990 all the way to 2010, we had players that had on field leadership, ability, and charisma… They pushed and encouraged each other constantly… starting around 2010 we started having coaching and management that discouraged on field leadership from the players…

  5. Love those guys! I'm 10- 15 years older than these guys, a serious soccer player myself and only dreamed of us getting back to the WC. While they're talking about the 2nd edition of our return to WC 1994, they were part of the start of the USA resurgence. I was/am so proud of these guys.

  6. The veterans in the 90-94 team I would say were Caliguri, Tab Ramos, Tony Meola , Eric Wynalda, John Harkes, Fernando Clavijo, Thomas Dooyle,Kasey Keller and maybe Ernie Steward. Then the new kids were Lalas, Balboa, Kobi, Friedel. Then In 98 were Donovan, Reyna, Mcbride, Bisley which exploded in 2002 and the rest is history. This shows how experienced players can help the newcomers to adapt quicker.

  7. These guys are why I started to play “the beautiful game” I was 8 years old watching in 94..I was able to go watch them play in Atlanta in 96 during the Olympics, cried like a baby when we lost in 2002..Gotta meet Lalas when the New England Revolution played in Pensacola..Earned a college scholarship to play the game in 2006 and now have a 7 year old daughter who plays the game..I loved you guys and y’all had such an impact in my life

  8. Why are they talking as if 1990 was the first time they’ve played in a World Cup when they’ve played in 1930, 1934, 1950, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2022, and 2026

  9. Props to these legends!
They showed the USMNT can be dangerous.
That said, I submit their quality has not improved by much to this day.
And as a result, they aren’t underestimated, and get crushed by prepared competition in quick order.

  10. 57:00 Kind of rich that right now Alexi cares about brown people in unsafe countries, but he's glad to deport any of them these days and assumes they didn't come to the US the right way. Oh and these days if Escobar did everything he could to come to the US and claim asylum I bet Alexi would say no thanks.
