  1. This happened to me growing up when Alan Smith left for Manchester. As a young lad that broke my heart as he was my favourite player who i never thought would leave Leeds for our rivals.

  2. The fact that alex ferguson wanted gerrard at the time united had scholes and the rest says alot plus the fact that mourinho tryed to sing him while he had lampard aswell says it all. Both top managers at that time with the player they had. Both tryed hard to entice gerrard. Proves how highly regarded he was in world footbal at that time

  3. I think Gary is full of with this loyalty thing. Football is a big business where employees (footballers) come and go. He said it himself, Ronaldo went to Real Madrid and absolutely nothing happened because he left Man United. If anything he became a millionaire 10x over. No one is thinking that he suffers from lack of loyalty. Gary was a good player; but not “a” Ronaldo, so he likely never got those offers.

  4. A lot of these comments are very interesting varied though they may be. It is all very well talking about players who were loyal and players who were not. But what people should always remember is that to a club any player is a saleable commodity. And they always have been.

  5. while many things been said about this man, Steven Gerrard… i think only 1 truly matter… He chose love for Liverpool over anything else… money, glory, trophies, anything… him choosing to stay in a below average club at that point, yet giving his everything and playing like that… and this was during a period where his coach didnt really liked him, can u imagine that?

How can you not love Stevie G?

  6. 1st 6 seconds carra nails it but blames united for what Liverpool started
cherry picking talent & not always to play them ,but to deprive others from having them

  7. Tevez had a gift. Bro was a clairvoyant. He just knew. He knew how sh1t United would become down the years and how City would be the champions of Manchester for the rest of our lives 😂

  8. Imagine winning the Ballon d'Or at the age of 22. Imagine being a hero to so many kids who grew up watching you. Imagine scoring an insane goal in the World Cup at the age of only 18.

And today you are a legend in nowhere. No one chants your name, no one gives you a standing ovation everytime you appear in any stadium, be it in the stadium of your last club, your boyhood club, the best club you ever played for, or the club where you finally got the medal you wanted. That's Michael Owen for you.

I swear I honestly don't see how winning a medal beats loyalty in this one. 😅

  9. Stevei G is this current market, god damn his price.
The complete box to box no.8, chipping in with 10 goals n 10 assists. Defending like a monster from the front. God damn

  10. Honestly Ronaldo Rooney Tevez is the best strikeforce the EPL has ever seen. Then Fergie decided to add competition and signed Berbatov. Berbatov was a world class striker but he kind of broke up that front 3 and that's why Tevez left

  11. Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard is my favourite English player. Both of them were world class, and could play in any team strengthen the team.
