I hate the Americanization and Disneyficarion of European sport. Seriously, football clubs should not be the plaything of billionaires, no matter how charismatic they are. The English football league needs 50+1. The commercialization is becoming unbearable.
I am not a Wrexham fan because of Rob and Ryan themselves; I became a fan because of the show and becoming invested in the town, the players, and now the people the more I am able to make connections with them the last few years.
British football fans are intrigued by what's happening in Wrexham, at least for now. As soon as their success grows and it starts to impact on the teams they support that intrigue will turn to envy and hate and those feelings will be made clear on the terraces, Wrexham will see that during this next season in league 2
All you Welsh screaming 'It's not England its Wales' you play in the English football pyramid therefore it's the English system, if you don't like that take Wrexham, Cardiff City, Swansea City and Newport County and go play in the Cymru Premier League otherwise give it a rest and shut up

The Apple deal is not broadening the appeal like those shows. A prospective soccer fan is not going to buy another subscription to watch MLS games. They will want to watch EPL games and probably already have the cable channels necessary.
