  1. I'm Argentinean, I've lost count of the amount of times a simple friendly amateur football match has ended in a massive brawl. "Soccer" isn't the problem, it's americans not giving a fuck about it.

  2. This is totally wrong. Soccer games go to overtime periods. Then, sets of penalty kicks(which are a nightmare for goalies playing on any level). The younger you are, the more you would try to nail the goalie right in the face, hoping he couldn't handle it! In any loose ball situation, you could pretty much shoulder the other person out of the way as hard as you wanted! One of the worst sprains i ever had was getting my foot folded backwards, from being a split second too late on the draw. I grew up in Texas(same as Mike Judge)

  3. despite how much koth makes fun of soccer most soccer teams arent like this….and its actually a pretty physicially demanding sport taking more coordination than football

  4. In sports during gym in Elementary and Junior high, I hated ties. In sports outside if school, I hated ties. The "everyone is a winner thing" needs to go away by a certain age, like eight years of age. These are supposed to be 12-13 year olds, who by this point, have a better grasp of understanding things, and even Bobby realizes that this coach is full of crap. There are winners and loser. You win, yippee for you. You lose, regroup and come back next time better and stronger.

  5. A tie game means everybody's a loser, because neither team was able to overcome the other to be a winner. In turn failing to achieve the goal of the game, and therefore losing.

  6. "Bobby, I didn't think I'd have to tell you this, but I'd be a bad parent if I didn't. Soccer was invented by European ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking".

  7. This is where Developer's Foresight truly comes in handy when developing a Sport, Tournament, or any relevant Competition in general: While some sports have Tiebreaker Rounds (Extra Innings, Overtime, Penalty Shot Shootouts) and some Speedrun Tournaments have similar (usually a Bonus Round or Extra Run after the Grand Finals), I prefer to cut out the middle man by having very specific criteria that would not require a Tiebreaker Round unless if all other options have been exhausted; this comes in the form of Best Stats, whoever finishes the event with the best performance in specific categories would be determined the winner and any Draw in the Stat~based Tiebreakers would have us keep going down the stack until either an Extra Round or a Coin Toss becomes mandatory.
The NFL does this for any teams that are tied for their Win/Loss/Draw record, whenever there are too many eligible for the Playoffs, and it makes the process much more bearable that I feel it should be implemented into games that end in a Draw for score; it's not too difficult of a concept to implement, and given how easy it is to record Team/Player Stats today, I am certain that Soccer and even Golf Leagues can implement this to make the games faster and guarantee a definitive victor after Regulation and/or Stoppage Play/Overtime is over.

  8. Taco here, the cultural difference in American sports with soccer is a bit complex, people in the United States enjoy scoring more than the development of the game itself, very different from the rest of the world where they admire soccer equally in the development of the game and the goals themselves. It is not common for Americans that there are draws in sports, something that does happen in soccer but that non-Americans enjoy with great euphoria due to the intensity of the game itself. To give an example, in basketball it is quite common for both teams to score many points, but in the final seconds the team that is winning can lose by a single shot, this would not happen in soccer because the development of the game is something more strategic, where it is about feigning and confusing the rival to score a goal.

  9. This is how Americans play soccer

Throughout the entire world the game of soccer is very violent. we recently had a soccer riot in Mexico, 75 injuries n 2 fatal casualties

  10. Bobby: why do you hate everything you don't understand?
Hank: i don't hate you Bobby
    Bobby: I meant soccer
Hank: oh…. yeah i hate soccer

  11. yet, NFL people fix their games so they are no better than basktball or any type of sport…its all about money and power got involved…sports like these ,during 80's and 70's to early 90's they played for real….then 2000 arrive..everyone played not hard anymore cause rich investors got involved
