This Chiesa signing should be the bargain of the century for what is a very decent player…….BUT
As the saying goes…when it looks to good to be true, it usually is. Cant shake the feeling that this could be the case.
Can't help but have that gut feeling that something aint right…he didnt exactly have clubs queuing up for him did he? despite a very low transfer fee and his supposed quality. And before Liverpool fans say its coz he only wanted Liverpool…please dont delude yourself, it was his only real option in the end, no one else really tried apart from Barca…but their issues lately to sign players meant it wasnt really an option.

On Chiesa – At 12.5m even if he was a flop / had injury issues it’s not a massive financial loss.
On Sterling – I gave the feeling he will insist on the same or more money per week, meaning Chelsea will have to part pay his salary to get his entire salary off the books while he plays for a mid table club. Either that or he goes to Saudi Arabia

On Liverpool signing Chiesa, if he can stay healthy it's a great signing, if he gets injured well it's just 12.5m which in football terms is nothing. Seems like a great signing!
To put this in perspective, Liverpool sold Bobby Clarke youth team player with a handful of appearances for the same amount of money as they purchased Chiesa the best player of the Euro 2021. But we still need an athletic DM, another defender and maybe a quality left-back. I would go for Kante, Guehi and Air Nouri and this would be a team capable of winning the Champions League and League.
