He is a decent player but he does well in MLS because he has a high athleticism that American players rarely have. I think he struggled in the EPL because it is the most athletic league in the world so his athleticism didn't stand out as much and he didn't have the technical game to compensate.

Just didn't seem Premier League quality, or at best doesn't fit into the mold of a Premier League striker. Seemed to give it his all here at Sunderland and luck didn't always favor him. But at least we got Jermain Defoe out of him, so cheers Jozy.

Sad that it never worked out for Jozy at Sunderland, never looked comfortable at that level. Might help him dropping out of the premier league and playing in a easier league like the MLS.
