Rivalries don’t come much fiercer in the Premier League than Leeds v Man Utd, and this clash in the 2001/02 season is right up there with the very best between the Yorkshire and Lancashire foes.

i went. It was actually a crap game. Leeds were a fading force at this time and already facing financial disaster, fans knew it and so did the players.
Looking at Manchester United's current financial situation, the team isn't doing well. They've spent too much money on this position. Now is the time for the owners to consult with experts and assess the team's needs. They need a coach who can exploit the strengths of each player and understand their psychology. Rushing to appoint a new head coach now could lead to repeating the mistakes of the past 10 years. The players Manchester United currently possess must be talented for the club to have spent such huge sums of money on them, not unknown players. Perhaps they don't fit Amorim's style of play and system right now. When players play in their preferred positions, combined with a coach who can communicate ideas and manage the players' psychology, things will improve. I think these players will regain their form and play more cohesively. Currently, keeping Fletcher and possibly signing Robert Benitez as interim manager is a good idea. If nothing changes, Man Utd should invite former players like Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Rio, Vidic, Rooney. With the love they had for the team and the youth they dedicated to it, they will return to support the club. These former players may not be skilled coaches, but they have talent from their playing days and experience, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each position. They will impart their knowledge to each former player, who will take on a role in each line of play. I think this will improve things. Suggestions include De Zerb, Conte, Tuchel, Ancelotti, and Klopp. Man Utd shouldn't think about inviting coaches from mid-table teams. They might be doing very well with smaller teams now, but they lack experience managing a big club. Managing the dressing room of a team with a large fan base is different from managing a mid-table team. We've also seen coaches who failed when they moved from mid-table teams to big clubs, like Unai Emery at Arsenal. Nuno Espírito Santo Tottenham, David Moyes Man Utd. Zidane + Xavi + Enzo Marasca – they wouldn't fit into a team. Even with great finances, like Chelsea's massive spending spree on Enzo Marasca, they still failed. With Zidane + Xavi, the team would have to let him buy the entire squad to even have a chance of finishing in the top four. When Zidane was at Real, he just managed things that way because Real had so many superstars at the time, and their playing style was already well-coordinated.

Glad I was around to witness the Premier League at its peak.
This was such a massive game as Leads missing out on Champions League football put them on the path to relegation. Also Becks and Robbie Keane would win the MLS cup with the LA galaxy a decade or so later.
Gratitude
Cocoa the clown in goal for united
Lead's coach name? Olari?
Basically a Mikaël Silvestre dominated match.
This was Oles best season.
17 goals in 30 league games, 25 goals in 47 games overall…not bad for a "super sub"!
Timestamps for the goals, including the initial build ups ⚽
03:44 07:43 10:26 11:48 15:20 19:25 21:19
It seems as though man utd set up for this game was a 4-4-2 shape
8:08 that shove on gary neville is satisfying as a manutd fan😂
Amorim is the dumbest coach United ever had. The CEO of United the least knowledgeable leader United ever had.
Back when both team were actually great.
When was the last time leeds won any kind of trophy?
These clubs meet tomorrow (1/4/26) and I won’t be rising before dawn to watch it. Football has been declining in this era.
Such an arrogant bunch of flogs and still think Leeds should’ve popped them.
Game starts in 7 and a half hours. Going to it. We’re going to thrash those dirty macs
Anybody who says Beckham couldn't be a winger today, look at the 4th goal. Ran from deep inside his own half.
Boy i miss these days, when United was GREAT, we don't have players like this anymore 😢! 🇯🇲
Yes, but where are the tattoos? 🤔
“And Viduka who scored at Old Trafford against Leeds.” Commentator said that- I don’t get it 🤷♂️
Ole was so underrated.
Great game
The Top Two Freekick takers.❤❤❤
obviously posted by a manure fan as it shows scum winning, so to answer the question, No, its not the best ever game between these 2 clubs, Leeds Christmas Eve victory probably the best if truth be told, MOT!!!
Leeds players was 😮😮😮 so good that time
I am old enough to watch this first time round, looking back this is actually technically quite shit and it makes me wonder if a lot of those players could play today.
O Manchester vai voltar às glórias 🙏
18:25 ohh Gary, you made Roy get a yellow card
Brilliant scoring midfielder Paul Scholes
This referee probably in his 70s now lol

0-1 Paul Scholes (9 min)
1-1 Mark Viduka (20 min)
1-2 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (37 min)
1-3 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (39 min)
1-4 Ryan Giggs (55 min)
2-4 Ian Harte (62 min)
3-4 Lee David Bowyer (80 min)
Thanks for not putting the scoreline in the title or image!
Football was so much better back then, bring on the little haaland simps
Hopefully, this will be the scoreline on Sunday! GGMU!
The game under Ole was better
18:26 Roy Keane shouting at Gary Neville for missing the pass hahaha
19:05 , hmm that Inge Haaland kid wonder what became of him ?😂
It's what football should be like now. Both teams are going for it that's what we all want to see
