  1. He was the Columbian hero of Italy 90 whereas Escobar a defender in the 94 W/C who scored a home goal got Columbia eliminated. " That was a great goal you scored" they said to him in a Columbian bar then they shot him dead.

  2. He was a flashy player but he also cost Colombia elimination in Italy 90 by doing his usual stupid showmanship. He gave Cameroon the game by coming out of his own box and losing the ball for an easy goal.

  3. Higuita is one of those GK who should be more famously known than he is, but in the US futbol isn't as popular outside of immigrants circles. Too bad Americans don't respect the futbol world like the rest of the world does.

  4. Higuita was a menace.. πŸ˜‚.. I watched that scorpion kick live at Wembley … Made me chuckle. Also remember in 1990 when f’d up against Roger Milla.. πŸ˜‚

  5. El scorpion. Legend, wasn't Paraguayan keeper Chilervert the only goalie to score more? But talking about bad keepers, being a Tottenham fan, we haven't been blessed in this area at all, since Jennings or Clemence. Hugo Lloris probably 2/10 or 3 at a push, massively over-rated, cost us 15-17 pts a season through unnecessary mistakes. But by far worst keeper I've ever seen is Heurelho Gomes, unbelievably shite, what were our scouts thinking, couldn't stop any shots, absolutely abysmal
