The 2018/19 Premier League season will go down as one of the greatest title races in football history. Manchester City and Liverpool dominated the league in two near-perfect campaigns, pushing each other to the limit every single week. Liverpool’s only defeat of the season came against City in January 2019, yet even 97 points still weren’t enough to win the title. Relive the final six games of an unforgettable battle between two of the greatest teams the Premier League has ever seen.

  1. For me this Liverpool team was better than the one that won the title in 19/20 ,but the best Liverpool team I have seen was the 21/22 team ,, only a couple games from winning a quadruple,, an attack of Jota ,Salah ,Mane ,Firmino and Diaz

  2. A team winning the league with 97 points would be considered one of the greatest PL winning sides of all time. Unlucky they were up against 98 points. Seriously though this was a privilege to watch, a battle of two giants season after season.

  3. watching this as a liverpool fan now…i think i will rather support Arsenal to win the league. Let Pep have a taste of this medicine. That guy denied the greatest liverpool side i ever watched two league titles! Not even one…Two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Should be remembered that that Kompany fluke that won the game against Leicester came the night before Liverpool’s Champions League Semi-Final 2nd leg vs Barcelona. I bet turning up at Anfield on that Tuesday night knowing the league was probably gone, and needing a 4 goal win to get to the Final – without Salah and Firminho – must have felt grim after such a season.
