Andrés Iniesta has made his debut for his new team Vissel Kobe in a game against Shonan Bellmare in the J-League.

He came on as a 59th minute substitute for Kazuma Watanabe, but was unable to save his side from 3-0 home defeat.

Back in action for the first time since Spain crashed out of the World Cup on penalties against host nation Russia, this was Iniesta’s first game at club level since his emotional farewell week at Barça in May, including a tearful goodbye to the Camp Nou following the game against Real Sociedad.

And the above video is a timely reminder of how much Iniesta will be missed, with Leo Messi, Luis Suárez and his other team-mates offering all their best wishes to the departing star.

    Sir Alex Ferguson is blown away by the Barcelona's Tika Taka. The artistry display of Andrés Iniesta, Xavi and Messi is speechless. One should not forget Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. They are gifted players who are equally playmaker on the field.
    Sergio Ramos , Pepe (Kepler Laveran de Lima FerreiraComM) and Miguel Angel "Michel" Salgado Fernández. They remind me of the AC Milan legends who have formed the impregnable defensive unit- Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta, Mauro Tassotti, Filipo Galli and Christian Pannuci.

    Aparte de con Dinho, es la única persona con la que he disfrutado ver al RMA siendo regateado por un sólo jugador. Nos dio un mundial, nos dio el placer de ver fútbol… Un grande. (Soy español y merengue).
