  1. City have set the standards for the past 8 years since 2018. They and Liverpool are the real title challengers as there is a very strong rivalry between the two North West clubs. Arsenal dont have what it takes in the closing end of the season to challenge as they always collapse in pressure defining games.

  2. The team has no confidence. Multiple players repeatedly turn over possession because they feel like they need to do something special alone or make prayer passes wishing something good will happen. In the final third, they have absolutely ZERO capability to create an attack unless they are already counter attacking and have an advantage. This is unchanged since Arteta arrived. What's worse is their defence is no longer organized.

  3. Lol the guy saying he wants arteta to stay doesnt realise he's been there for 6 years hasn't done a thing trophy wise and in my opinion as neutral i dont support arsenal this was the year where there was no more excuses for arteta they bought him the players their fans argued they should and could win all season long, and because of how poor the other teams have performed including city arsenal should have already been crown champions but they haven't and now probably won't. For me thats the biggest issue with arteta when it matters most he cant get it done and the players too they're mentally done

  4. If Arsenal was far behind, and this argument is made, I can understand, but how can you explain Arsenal with 12 points ahead of Man City. And in one month, blew it all.

    Such coach should be fired.

  5. Arsenal pundits in all of these discussions conveniently ignore the obvious red card. Imagine it Haaland had done that, all these Arsenal clowns be chattering about it all day long.

  6. So the calender matters too. Having teams who have nothing to gain left helps. Chelsea and Tottenham lay down and get their tummies tickled by Manchester City. Chelsea tried to kill Arsenal.

  7. Arteta stays. Arsenal and Manchester City are about equal. Arsenal actually had a better season imo. Semi final Champions league. The league isn't over. The Bournemouth game was disappointing in attack.

  8. Arteta can't bring trophy nor football excitement. Areta system can't sustain for marathon like title race. Areta system is also ineffective in knock out stages due setpiece dependent attacking model. Areta system is not the only issue. He is poor in developing players performances. He is poor in rotation. He is poor in identifying & solving tactical issue as quickly as possible. You can throw billion amount of resources at Areta, the result wouldn't change. He can get many opportunities still he would struggle to go over line. Arteta is typical a bottler, no amount of resources & no amount opportunities will change that. Arsenal board must sack him at the end of the season. To sack a bottle job manager is the right choice. Arsenal already have a strong & balanced squad, all they need is a great coach who can set up an effective system that improves players performances for better out come. Attacking mind set coaches will suit better Arsenal football club. Haram football & Areta should find another club.

  9. Far from over, there will be twist and turns from Man City and Arsenal. City has a tougher schedule, Arsenal has champions league in between. There will be points dropped on both sides guaranteed

  10. Truth is the difference in quality in attack is astounding… madueke and martinelli/trossard should be the starting wingers for a mid table club… non of the arsenal attackers would start for city

  11. And the old chap said all that needs to be said, Arsenal can't even play a comfortable at home game and you question whether to keep the manager. Even their own fans make fun of them. Sure let arsenal win the prem for once, they are still not the best football team. Everyone else is just shite. In the prem this season at least

  12. Arsenal need to reevaluate their training regime. For as long as I can remember since Wenger days they’re always plagued by injury……something must be wrong and that needs to be changed. Also the players need to be psychologically assessed to get their minds right and in a champion’s mentality. This is where the true hurdle is.

There is a psychological barrier that MUST be overcome and until then, the Gunners will always – and I mean always have the same result……there was a season when Real Madrid were coached by Zizu and you can see a shot of all the players with literal passion and fire ignited in their hearts…..if Arsenal can’t drum up something even remotely similar to that – then they have already lost whatever competition your in.

    All the best Gunners.

  13. At least the old chap answered who's the better team albeit he overcomplicated the question far too much. It's a very simple answer Manchester City is the better team. In fact it's not how goood arsenal is doing this season it's how bad Man Citys start of the season was. There is no question watching them h2h every individual players quality and synergy was in favor of MC. Plus Arteta ain't pep. It's that simple. The only real chance for arsenal is for Pep to retire then maybe Arteta can comfortably build a legacy to the top if they can manage the rest of the prem teams.

  14. This 2:37 is a stupid question. 2-6 months ago if you were to ask who the best team in the word is currently most people would have said arsenal. You can be the best team in the league for a month or 2 and it won’t get you a LEAGUE title, to win a league title you need consistency. Manchester City in the first half of the season were garbage, compared to their standardsThe January transfer window saved Manchester city’s season. Arteta and arsenal simply slipped up when it mattered most and it’s a repetitive issue.

  15. Wasn’t pragmatic 3 years ago. No squad depth.

Wasn’t pragmatic 2 years ago. 1 loss since Christmas cost them the league.

Last year, too many injuries to overcome.

This year, has the squad depth, failed to rotate properly & now key players are either exhausted or carrying injuries.

    This season is on Arteta.

  16. 1) recruitment: Arsenal have no WC front player who can endure a duel and score 1/2 chance…
    2) Arteta has either burned his players (Saka, Odegaard, Timber, Rice, Zubimendi) or made them ignorant or out of form (MLS, Nwaneri, Madueke, Norgard).
    3) Psychological pressure when you realize you need to be at your toes to compete with Man City

.. bad planning of the form based on demanding style of play (with little techincal quality)
