  1. What game from a neutrals perspective and a Sunderland fan, wasnt it the season Sessegnon got a red card against the mags then Tiote got a red card in the reverse fixture against us

  2. 😂😂😂 back when EPL referees could decide the outcome of matches at will, with their inconsistencies and shambolic officiating. I wonder why this referee was not investigated for his poor judgements and abysmal performance in this game.

Sure New Castle fought for it and the strike from Chieck Tiote was amazingly good (may God rest his soul), but the officiating was way below standards. With VAR, this match could have ended at maybe 5:1 in favour of Arsenal.

  3. Perfect game to explain Arsenal in the latter Wenger years. Wonderful free-flowing football, untouchable when they were in the mood. That first half was an exhibition. But you could easily get under their skin. And boy did they unravel when you got under their skin. Referees played their part too in how teams approached Arsenal. 4 broken legs in 3 years was certainly no coincidence. Anyway, RIP Cheick Tiote. What an iconic goal!

  4. I must say this game had a lot of errors ; ref was poor with the two awarded penalties and not sure if VAR would have served its purpose. Tiote with a stunning goal, the composure and technique was out of this world .

  5. Those two penalties were bullshit.

The disallowed onsite goal for Newcastle was also bullshit.

How Arsenal players kept on giving easy free kicks close to the box was just pure stupid. Newcastle was winning every aerial ball.

  6. Two soft penalties, Barton should've been red-carded for that tackle on Diaby, and the last free kick that led to the goal: how was that a foul? The only goal Newcastle should have gotten is the wrongly ruled-out goal for offside. a JOKE of a comeback.

  7. This is not a comeback, this is a robbery 😂 I forgot how blind were the refs by then. And it all started with a very stupid and avoidable red card. Wenger must have roasted him.
