I am a 56 year old life long Liverpool supporter and I can say that Roy Keane is a legend in and out the game! He is the real thing if you can understand the fact that he does not hide from the light and shows up every single time to put in a shift on the pitch as a player and in the studio as a pundit! Team player,fearless, honest, good bad or otherwise you get what you get! Love him as a television and internet personality and professional who I personally would have as my captain and my leader in any circumstance regardless of rivalries and hard fought past battles even though it was painful losses at times and some dodgy defeats sometimes,have to say without question its respect and appreciation one of a kind made his team better made the rivalry more bitter,and helped the fixtures become even bigger! Carragher and Micah are always like little childish kids when ever there in the presence of a female presenter, they don't laugh and joke around like that when it's a male presenter
Regardless that he analysis isn’t much & he bangs on about United too much, it feels like yesterday when he featured for Man U on a Wed night in the champions league (late 90s etc) and won every ball. He was the engine in that side. Think he gave up management too early as well.
Issue with Man U and spurs was the recruitment in the windows weren’t good enough, playing the extra games without the right depth caused them to really feel it in the league with the intensity. I think they’ll splash out on loads of players in the summer and kick on a bit. Lack of money or not. But surely both managers won’t last if they still don’t turn it around.
