So many sheeple here caught up in the moment that dont realise how bad we are that we only just beat Japans C team.
To all the critics of our Socceroos who are rebuilding ! Go back to criticising your AFL or NRL teams ! Don't bother watching the World game ! It's not the same as your boring sports!
:
To all the negative commentators of this game and of Football Australia, why did you bother to watch it ?
Go back to watching your Neanderthal sports viz AFL or NRL !
AFL does not have a World Cup and NRL World Cup has the same 2 or 4 teams always competing, with a crowdless World Cup!
What is everyone thinking of our coach 😊
The coach of Ausralia looks villain in "Like a dragon"
but the last minute goal was beautiful. From Japan
Subway socceroos? How embarrassing. Even our national team has been sold
Congratulations Australia!
Your team's defense is so strong that even if Japan had a full squad, the game could have turned out like this and you could have won.
I hope you will be able to utilize your defensive prowess in the WORLD CUP and win against a strong nation.
Great that we won, but need to be better than this is we're to do anything at the world cup. Just being there isn't enough, we need to be able to achieve something, at least maybe win a game, which i can't see us doing. This twam just isn't that good, not much technical ability except for maybe 2 players, the rest average at best. Well be sliced open like a fish by any decent team we play unfortunately. This eas Japan's third best side and we couldn't put more than 3-5 passes together, while Japan were able to put 12-22 at will all game. That's the difference between a team with players that have skills and those that don't at the highest level, which is what we'll have to compete with at the world cup. I fear for what will happen to our team.
おめでとうまたワールドカップの決勝トーナメントで会おう
80% of Japan's starting lineup is young, with some being called up for the first time. Players like Endo, Suzuki, Kubo, and Nakamura were watching the game from the bench. And no members of the first team were called up.
Well done guys,…BINGO!
Great efforts lads let's grow
Socceroos it's home baby
★ Destroyers, next-generation fighter jets, counterattack capabilities… Japan-Australia "quasi-alliance" cooperation deepens against China's maritime advance
Japan and Australia are strengthening their security cooperation due to a shared sense of caution against China's strengthening of its maritime advance. Australia has had a period of close ties with China in the past, but has shifted to a policy of strengthening its military power in response to China's penetration into neighboring Pacific island nations. Japan regards Australia as a "quasi-ally" second only to the United States, and envisions cooperation in the event of an emergency.
"If Japan's escort ships are adopted, the interoperability between the Self-Defense Forces and the Australian military will be further enhanced, which will be of great strategic value to both countries."
Defense Minister Gen Nakatani emphasized this at a press conference on the 1st after meeting with Australian Defense Minister Mahles. Japan and Germany remain final candidates for the Australian Navy's plan to introduce new ships. Nakatani sold the Japanese proposal to Mahles during the meeting.
Japan has presented Australia with a proposal to jointly develop a new type of ship based on an improved version (new FFM) of the Mogami-class destroyer currently in service with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. If Japan and Australia were to use ships that have many things in common, they would be able to share ammunition, equipment, and repair facilities. In the event of an emergency, both countries would also be able to repair ships damaged in the event of an emergency.
Australia plans to replace its aging frigates with 11 new ships, with a total cost of A$11.1 billion (approximately 1 trillion yen). If the order is awarded, it will be the largest equipment transfer case to date, and some say it will "gain momentum" for security cooperation between Japan and Australia (according to a senior Defense Ministry official).
In addition, in the field of defense equipment, the export of the next-generation fighter jets that Japan is jointly developing with the UK and Italy to Australia is being considered. Japan and Australia also plan to cooperate on counterattack capabilities (enemy base attack capabilities) and the development of long-range strike capabilities through live-fire training in Australia, which has a vast land area.
The deepening of Japan-Australia ties is also aimed at building a multi-layered defense cooperation posture that does not rely solely on the United States, and at enhancing strategic autonomy. Japan and Australia hold multiple defense ministerial-level consultation forums, including Japan-US-Australia, Japan-US-Australia-Philippines, and Japan-US-Australia-Philippines-Korea. If Japan and Australia, which are geographically close and face common threats, can work together, they will have more influence in negotiating with the United States. Meanwhile, the United States has also indicated a welcoming stance toward Japan-Australia defense cooperation, which will lead to stronger deterrence against China.
The lads done good, the lads done brilliant
Easy to qualify when half the world qualifies for the next World Cup lol
Australia were atrocious, they were completely outplayed by a second string Japan, not a second string France or Brazil, JAPAN.
What a goal, goalkeeper had no chance…
Beautiful goal
Japan didn't play as a team…what a waste
Well done Socceroos
So we beat a second string Japan, definitely need to improve before the World Cup or we won’t get past the group stages
Do we have to call them the bloody “subway Socceroos?” Embarrassing
Subway Socceroos ffs😂😂
