The handball law isnt up for interpretation for the Schlegel call. There is a deliberate caveat for plant arms when sliding to get the ball. That is never a pen and that ref was just atrocious
so jumping and arms going up are a natural and unnatural position at the same time?
VAR going against Orlando, who's surprised? There has to be some bias against us because decisions go against us constantly and way more than any other team. It's every week and sometimes multiple times a week that VAR screw us.
Good. Benteke is an unhinged thug.
So the REF can't get it right even with the VAR? I thought the VAR was created to avoid these types of problems, the VAR should give the REF a clue what really happened and make an unbiased descision.
Where was the review of the horrendous VAR red card against Charlotte FC????
Nothing from MTL vs NYRB 🤡🤡
Yuya Kubo kicked the back of the Union player's leg and then fell over. It's not "this contact that made him fall". He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and I am so sick of refs and many others falling for this type of obvious flop. These are professional athletes; you think he didn't know what he was doing?!
Wiebe making the mistake that new MLS fans make: "It was not reviewed," "It should have been reviewed" – THEY ALL WERE REVIEWED. THE VAR OFFICIAL REVIEWS EVERY PLAY OF THE GAME. What you want is for the VAR official to have a DIFFERENT OPINION so that he sends it to the CR. The VAR official cannot by rule send a review to the CR unless the VAR OFFICIAL sees a clear and obvious error. I understand noobs, but Wiebe? SMDH.
Andrew Weeby talking out his ass again covering for PRO REFs fucking sucking on the pitch again
What's up with the deleting of comments?
for the sliding handball, i know there at least used to be a specification for players sliding. and it was always the difference between the up or down arm, which in this case would mean since it hit his down arm then that would mean it just isn’t a handling offense.
Never a yellow on the 2nd red in the austin game what
Bro needs a new job. These are getting worse and worse. Much like the mls refs.
The ref was right in front of the STL foul…how does he not call it? Is VAR making g ref lazy
The only thing worse than the refs are the justification of the VAR calls by the league.
That ATL was awarded a Penalty for that ridiculous dive, but StL was not for a player getting kicked in the head in the box with his head at chest height is a farce. Refs need to start having fines for obviously bias referring like this. Players and teams do after a game is over and reviews are done. Hell, I'd be good with a ref having to wear a shirt their next oficiating game saying in big letters; "However, further review shows I blow calls."
I'm surprised they're still letting Tim Ford ref games after the horror show last year in Vancouver.
Disappointed the dangerous play by ATL (‘hIGh kiCk’) wasn’t looked into at all.
I’ll know MLS has made it as a serious league, when it no longer employs clowns as pundits. 👍
Coming from a crew fan, the Orlando game ref should be removed from mls. She shouldn’t even be allowed to officiate a u8 scrimmage
