  1. Great game. Just as well some Dublin teams were in Europe as Virgin media would have been covering another lacklustre Dublin Derby. Galway v Waterford another great game outside of Dublin. More of these type of games please

  2. As a City fan, while disappointed, I'm not surprised by the result tonight. We don't have enough experienced players and we'll just have to accept that we're not good enough at this level.
I'm surprised though that Rovers are just above us. They played some lovely football tonight and deserved their win. Elding is a class act.

  3. Thought it was very bad form how home supporters (well, "the Shed", really) turned on Cork players at FT … atmosphere had been good whole game, Cork players giving it their all. Obvs a struggling team is liable to concede, give up leads … but if Cork shot before Sligo winner had been one inch lower it would have bounced over the line for an epic 3-2 home win. Fine margins and all. Shed had been in great form all game, singing songs, drumming, bouncing … but once Sligo got their winner it turned nasty. Honestly, Cork fans who were abusing players (who stood in front of shed, taking the abuse) at the end … just STFU.

  4. City are going down, relegation is surely confirmed after tonights disaster. What a finale though… with City hitting the bar on the 87th minute and Sligo somehow getting the ball clear… then in the next attack, 88 minutes, Sligo go ahead. Amazing drama !
