when will Marseille stop stinking…been waiting 25 years
Glad to see Araujo playing at Lisboa he did well at Los Diablos Rojos del Toluca
Great official but lord it kills a game to have so many decisions have to go to a monitor.
Bad referee shouldn't be influencing the game this much
Marseille have been playing so well. Just an american fan of Weah however they keep causing their own downfall. So much talent on OM.
Love to see yellows for diving.
Absolutely brilliant officiating. Love to see simulation being enforced
Glad to see diving getting penalized, good win Sporting ๐ต๐น
That was one of the luckiest deflections I've ever seen ๐
Greenwood for prison
STOP DIVING
Ref needs to go to training
Emerson really screwed Marseille. I think they were on their way to eventually getting a second goal, but the sending off killed their momentum. They're getting better as a club under De Zerbi, but they're not good enough to take a man disadvantage so early and overcome that on an away night at a club as experienced in this competition as Sporting. I do think Marseille looks good enough to take a playoff spot, but they need to stop beating themselves and stop looking for cheap goals.
Pavard should of got another yellow for flopping but besides that perfect use of VAR
I think that second yellow was harsh and killed the game. Yes, it looked like a dove but there was some initial contact as well prior.
ligue one is very physical, liga portugal is a lot more so. thats my conclusion
It should be first flop straight red. Maybe thatll make em grow up. ๐ฌ
I appreciate this refereeing, but the lack of etiquette by holding that red card behind his back and walking around with it was ridiculous. Get that thing out, brandish it, put it back.
I'm glad Sporting CP won this match!! ๐๐๐๐๐ช
A lot of people are saying the officiating was amazing, but take away VAR today and the officiating on the field made 3 crucially bad mistakes that all could change the game. From that dive in the box being called a penalty, to the clear onside goal being called offsides, to Araujo getting a straight red for what was nothing in the end…
I'm more thankful each game for VAR being introduced ๐
What an emotional match!!! You can't understate the amount of energy Sporting has at a home match. If it was an away match they would have lost even with Marseille at 10 players.
The 2nd goal for sporting was pure luck though, and Marseille was constantly trying to win through the referee instead of playing football, which they are better at than Sporting. That's something they need to address.
Chill out with the straight reds my G. No yellow even on that one.
Flop-tastic match!
We need this level of officiating skills in Premier League.
So glad the referee gave the card. The more this happens the less diving we will see the better for the fans
Lol Roberto walking away from paxiao when he tried to celebrate with him
How was that a dive?
Edit: oof saw the other angle…. fair call
