Spanish soccer official’s kiss unleashes fury | NewsNation

Spain’s Aug. 20 victory at the Women’s World Cup was a momentous occasion for the soccer-crazed country, but the joy on and off the field was soon sullied by the leader of the country’s soccer federation when he planted an unwanted kiss on the lips of a star player during the medal ceremony.

  1. The UN weigh in on this topic and for the war between Russia and Ukraine they are silent and have done nothing. This is the sort of world we now live in folks.

  2. I have two women in my life and even they all said he was wrong to forcefully kiss her in anyway. That to me and to them looks like an assault was committed.
If a man deliberately kisses one of my two women, I'm going off on him, then the woman will press charges on that person.
The guy was holding her head with both hands very strongly. She had no choice! He needs to be arrested for this.

  3. Jesus Mary and Joseph this is a 33 year old woman, not a girl, good grief get over it!
I was born in America, Mom came here in '63 from France, she married my father in '62 he was Army. Every time I've been to France I get kissed like crazy. The men will give you the double peck, one on each cheek. The women give you the triple tap each cheek, 1, 2, 3 the door greeting festival can take 15 minutes. When they find out I'm from America I get that secret one right on the lip's. My 3rd cousin thought it was hilarious. I was more uncomfortable with men kissing my cheeks than the kiss on the lips. It always takes a day or two to get over the shock, like jet lag, and then you enjoy understanding the affection is just affection with no intimacy it's real without an agenda or malicious intent. Americans have no idea how to behave that way because everyone has an agenda and likely to be malicious.

  4. Why would people watch women’s soccer? Men should avoid being in a stadium with them to avoid a me too allegations. Women’s soccer should only be for women.

  5. Hey, if this was a man being kissed I know a yall in the comments with a stick up your butt would be up in arms. Let's not play the gender game. An unwanted kiss in unwanted and if no apology is given by such a high up figure, then people are obviously going to call for him to be removed. If not it sends the signal that this is acceptable. Also, I can't believe I have to even say this but smiling doesn't mean she liked or wanted the kiss. She was probably excited they won, exchanging hugs and handshakes, and then out of nowhere she gets kissed by her boss (basically), which I'm sure left her in shock as well. I've also had guys try to kiss me after getting caught up in celebratory feelings (i.e. graduation as one example I can think of) and I managed to avoid it thanks to my grandma-kiss dodging skills but the difference is I got an apology. I fully expect my opinion to bring out the sad trolls of youtube and rest assured I will not be reading your comments but I wish you a nice day regardless. Cheers
