I try telling my team this all the time i like to use the fact Steven Gerrard only touched the ball for a total of 3 minutes during thier champions league final VS AC Milan 3-0 down HT 3-3 FT then they won it on penalties. It only takes 2 seconds to control a ball a feed a pass 👍

Man this is so spot on, I see a lot of other players in my generation that just want the ball at their feet to do tricks and skills, but they don’t want to put it in the work and move around the pitch, especially if they make runs and don’t receive the ball. You’ve got to serve your team and realize that most of your movement is going to free up space so your teammate can receive the ball. It’s great to see a coach addressing this to players while they’re still young🙌🏼
