I had my players throw the ball at the crossbar from the 18 yard line yesterday. If they fell short, they moved up 3 yards. They were astonished to learn how little they knew about their own ability. How many times do players see someone 30 yards down the field and throw it 10 yards short, or your long thrower over-shoots everyone and puts it comfortably into the goalkeeper's hands?
