Soccer Mom has some helpful advice for Coach after the game. NOTE: This is a compilation of actual conversations I’ve had with parents over the past six years.

  1. Guys, improve your football skills does not have to be hard (I used to think it did). I'll give you some advice right now. Look for a training program called Zumlaxoc Training Program (do a google search). Seriously, thanks to Zumlaxoc Training Program I've become a better player. I probably shouldn't even be talking about it cause I do not want a bunch of other guys out there running the same "game" but whatever, I'm in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

  2. I'm a coach/Soccer Dad, I have seen coaches scream offensively at GK for closing the angle on a one on one, not play some players at all, cheat with player's passes in order to win, scream at players for a drop pass, at Rec. HS C1, R3PL, leagues allow from 18-22 players in a team, "every player must play a half of each half" not enough time, but there is $ coming, there is much to be changed in youth soccer, we must spent effort educating Coaches, Parents, Referees, leagues’ administrators.

  3. I deal with parents like this all the time. I bite my tongue and clench my fists trying to prevent myself front punching them in the face.

  4. More crap from the soccer coaching establishment. Yes there are problems with parents, but coaches have to realize that they don't know everything. Tired of arrogant coaches who think they are above reproach.

  5. Well the sad part is that this is 100% reality, everywhere on the world.
And I think it is not just soccer it is every sport. Parents who have no idea what the sport is about are those who want to give their worthless advice to everyone, the coach, the children and even better they shout nonsense everytime during the games.

  6. @curlymctallgirl Heck yes, and I can assure you this happens in all sports. Cheer and gymnastics are pretty bad; you have kids that spend 10-30 hours a week with you and there is so much drama. I especially love the "we are behind you 100%" line because those are exactly the people that turn around and find another team to play on and are never satisfied.

  7. Mom:…But now you yell at her I don't understand why all the parents cheer when she kicks it towards the other goal
Coach:I'm trying to teach her to keep the ball under control. Plus she hits everything with her toe and has no idea where its going
Mom: Its going up the field!
    Ha ha!!

  8. right, stop that. hahahahahaha AMAZING hilarious wonderful.
Completely accurate, too! So many clueless mothers think they know what they're talking about, it pisses me offffff!!!

  9. Right….stop that!
I've had versions of this conversation so many times in the past couple years. Especially as the team transitioned from U7 up to U10
