  1. This guy is actually implying that bringing 72.000 people to the stadium is somehow affecting Messi's performance? Like he didn't face Real Madrid 20+ times in Madrid against 80.000 people or 90.000 in Wembley lol

  2. As a British person the USA is clearly a soccer country, but the media treat soccer like it is minor sport and give it little media mainstream coverage, because all their sports media guys are old people who know nothing about soccer, so they don’t cover it. MLS gets higher average crowds than the NBA & NHL. It has already surpassed the NHL as the 4th sport in America and will soon pass baseball, but these sports still get more coverage. For Americans under 35 it is now the second most popular sport in that means there is going to be a huge demographic shift that will see soccer because at least the number 2 sport like what happened for the NFL in the 1980s. There is almost a fear by the networks in cahoots with the major leagues that if soccer gets mainstream coverage it will take over like what happened in Japan and Korea, so they must treat it like a minor sport. Well when the World Cup 2026 happens this denial of media oxygen for soccer will end.
