  1. And the loser walks directly across the field. No shame, no understanding.

I own my own club, indoor facility and leagues – in 8 years I have reffed nearly 7000 games, and am ruthlessly strict with parents. I do not use cards.. minor fouls are incidentals (free kick), anything malicious/dangerous is a strike. After 1 strike, the next foul is an automatic goal for the other team and a free kick..

In this span there has not been 1 injury (due to a foul).

Ive only had to permanently ban 4 families, and 1 entire team during a tourney.

Does it work? There is now a 9 month waiting list (35 pre-paid families) for each and every program from u5 to Mens and womens leagues being held in escrow..

I decided to do it myself.. and now the national program is coming by.. they are actually considering what I am doing..

  2. Those kids don't even look 13. Great call by the ref, stop this behavior before it gets worse. It really is a shame when parents think any behavior like this is remotely acceptable. Coach learned a good lesson.

  3. The unhinged coach should not coach in any league.

Referee was awesome and managed this situation perfectly. The coach, on the other hand was a bad representation for his team.

He even trounced across the field after ejection- a sure sign that he respects nothing about this sport.

  4. I see dad brought his soccer dad body to face off with a 16 yr old. Why don't you ref then dad if it's so easy. Way to handle it ref, the league has your back.

  5. my older brother was a soccer referee at 14, that was his first job. so many parents would argue with him but he was little and was scared. when he got older he spoke back and took control of situations where coaches were almost gonna fight each other. mind you my brother has played soccer his entire life so he knew what he was doing. he also took a class to make sure he was great. when i turn 14, i’m gonna have to do the same but mind you, i have a little bit of an attitude so with my attitude i’d probably scare the parents and get them to shut up before i cancel the game. mind you, you can do that. i’ve learned so much from my brother and i can’t wait to work. hopefully parents now a days are no longer vicious animals

  6. I love how the ref was straight back to business even while the coach is still screaming on his way off the field. No need for that crap even if the refs are imperfect. Good handling of the situation there.
