  1. Kids overrated, played with better and city have better. Kid gets pretty lucky, seems like teams he plays against are Sunday league level. Guaranteed fades out just like other overrated English ‘talent’

  2. Did you say the same when Wales played Northern Ireland in the knock out and when 3 Englishmen scored your goals against Belgium Craig?
What about when you got sent packing by a painful to watch Portugal side without even putting up any resistance.
    Bitter man

  3. As a Norwich fan I can say that Bellamy was an amazing youth player and was given first team football as a teenager at Norwich before we sold him on – nothing wrong with starting in lower league and playing every week.

  4. Fabs Delph has not been spoken about, why is that. I see him as the bedrock of the squad & team. He was fantastic. He should be the captain because he never lets England down. Always plays well for England & is a top, top player with quality in game & as a leader on & off the pitch. Keeps Pep happy.

  6. Everyone going on and on about Foden needing game time do not understand midfielder development. I say this as someone who is not a City fan, I am actually a RM fan. I also say this as someone who thinks Sanco undoubtedly made the right decision (even prior to seeing his success at Dortmund). However, midfielders, especially are not like forwards. They do not need to be in the first XI by the time they are 18. Lets take 7 of the best midfielders of the modern era: Andres Iniesta, Xavi, David Silva, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Paul Scholes and Andrea Pirlo.

Of these only David Silva had more than 30 league appearances in a season prior to turning 20 (two full seasons away for Foden). Even then those appearances were in the second division. He then had 30 more appearances when the season he turned 20 just as Modric and Kroos. Scholes didn't crack 20 app until he was 21 (30 app until he was 23), Xavi didn't crack 30 app until he was 21, and Pirlo didn't crack 30 app until he was also 23. Even Iniesta, who everyone want to compare Foden to, didn't have 30 league appearances until the season after he turned 20. When he was 18 he had 6, when he was 19 he had 11. Foden is currently on pace for 18 appearances. Granted De Bruyne has been out of the picture, but equally David Silva will fade in coming years, and who knows where De Bruyne's future lies (transfers, injury recovery etc.). Foden is fine. As long as his appearances keep going up rather than down, he will be well on track.

If after the next year or two his appearance remain stagnant send him out on loan. Don't do it now, you actually risk stagnating his development. What if the team you sends him to is in a relegation battle and needs a proven player. What if the management team doesn't train him in the right areas. There are no doubts about this when he remains under Pep and City's watch.

  7. hey craig bellamy, the Country of Australia are doing the same type of farewell game for TIM CAHILL who is our leading goal scorer and best ever player. Does it really matter how a country sends their best ever player off??

  8. YES. Every talented English youngster should be looking forward to moving abroad. Staying in the Premier League and aiming to develop is just absurd. Few managers in the league even play youngsters due to the pressure they're on and the average quality of the English youngster. I feel its even fomented through arrogance due to social media and kids that think they've made it just because they have a million followers. They should prioritize game time, development and responsibility for short-term exposure and press pressure.

  9. If any time for Wayne Rooney to retire was now because England is at its biggest it’s ever been in the World Cup giving him maximum credit as possible Craig cmon

  10. Hey so my brother birthday is coming up and could you please somehow do me a favor and ask Leroy or really any of the players or maybe the manager wish him or something please I beg you

  11. Foden should leave or go on loan. He is not a normal 18 y old and wasn't a normal 17 y old. If he'd already had more game time we's be talking about an even better prospect already. Man city will give him games, but the whole game has changed. There is so much money available that the squad will very unlikely give him enough games in the long term.

  12. Sancho is surely an exception. He wasn't particularly well known when he left and suddenly became a beast. When foden is not needed by the team at this point in time it would definitely be ideal to get him a short loan away in a decent team.

  13. Can I ask an honest question, and I mean no offense because I think Pep is good. But how good is Pep as a manager when, at all the club's he has been at (Barcelona, then Bayern, then City) have been super-rich. He has all the money in the world to use, and sure you can't just spend money and hope it goes well so sure (cough United cough), point conceded, but how much does success mean when money is no object? Personally I would think it means much less as a signal of managerial strength than when a manager has made it to that sort of level without having the sort of financial support Pep has been afforded throughout his managerial career.

  14. The media are so eager to get Foden in the England squad that they don’t want him to develop properly, they want to rush him! He’s at the best club and with the best manager possible. His time will club! Stay at city!!

  15. Foden won't make over 10 Prem starts each season for the next 3 years if he stays at Man City. Which basically means he will stagnate like Loftus Cheek, Barkley….Foden needs to move fast. Nothing replaces game time.

  16. English media and fans only seem to big up one youngster at a time frist it was Butland then sessengon then Maddison then Matlend niles then at one point holding and chambers then Gomes then Foden now Sancho why do you need 1 super star when you can have like 4

  17. Why should he leave City? Its is boy hood club , getting lessons everyday from two of the best midfielders in the PL in KDB and David Silva whom he will eventually replace in two years. Hes also getting atleast some playing time in the prem and full game times in the carabao and fa cup. He’s basically in the best place for development for any young midfielder now
