  1. That's one thing I dislike about football/soccer. Red cards mean you're down a man for the rest of the game. Basically seals the fate of the game. Even good teams are hoping for a draw at that point vs bad teams. It's to easy for refs in soccer/football to fix games, when they can call a touchy penalty, hand out a red card, and game over.

Imagine in hockey if there was a penalty that made it so the one team was on a power play for the entire game. Imagine in ANY sport if you were forced to play with unequal players.😂

  2. Shocking officiating. Pull Tim Ford out of the league for that garbage. That touch on the winning goal was insane though. Beautiful goal

  3. The red card was already ridiculous, but the penalty was even worse. When he was sent off to review I thought okay, this is an easy call with the camera angle behind the goal, but WTH. How could he insist to call it a foul? Really some of the worst calls ever (right after Taylor did not call the hand penalty in ESP-GER at the Euro 24). Having said that, you do not have a ref problem in MLS – we do have a ref problem in the entire world. Cannot tell why…

  4. If that was my teammate that pushed the attacker while shooting I’d be mad at him too. It makes the ref make another poor decision by having to interpret the rules.

  5. Im an arango fan but after this crap reffing I was rooting for Vancouver. He ruined the game with that first bogus red card then sealed it with the bogus penalty. What a joke. Earthquakes management is trash too and paid off mls so they can sell the garbage team.

  6. Wow that refereeing hurt my brain!!
    1. Yellow/Red – just classic light shielding on an over hit ball. Not a foul nevermind a yellow..
    2. Guy took a heavy touch, swung wildly in traffic, kicked air and fell over! VAR tried to save the moron but ref wanted to change the outcome of the game! Thére was ZERO contact, even if there was which there wasn’t attacking played was out of control and initiating it.

This guy needs a long timeout! Not fit to ref professionally.

  7. How in the world does that ref go back and look at the play and still gives SJ a pk???? The guy was already leaning and decided to take a dive when the defender got in his way. Bout sick of all the diving and faking in this sport. All that rolling around on the ground to sell it. I can't stand that crap

  8. That’s a brutal pen call even after review and I’m not a fan of either of these teams. I didn’t recognize the refs name and then I saw his face and was like yeah this ref is the worst lol

  9. The only explanation given about this refereeing 'performance' that makes any sense is that San Jose badly needed a win at home and Tim Ford was the vehicle for how dreams are made. Because the rules of soccer, physics, 20/20 vision, and being sober don't explain what we all saw. And its on video.

  10. It seems that refs are really working that second yellow knowing that it cannot be reviewed. If Ford handed out a straight red for DOGSO then he would have been challenged by VAR, and by seeing how the penalty review turned out Mr. Ford is another ego driven PRO ref.

  11. Ref is a joke MLS must do something about this I’ve never seen Tim ford put out a good performance could not trust this man to do a u10 game
