Bro how you lose an MLS team and after losing it, another city got advantage to get a MLS expansion.
It isn't dead, it's just in "indefinite hold" "hiatus". So when they got a new investor, now they can will become back to MLS!!
If they didn't lost the investor, this cannot happened and they started playing in 2023 with St. Louis

Once MLS reachs 30 teams, i think they should seriously consider creating a 2nd Division. With smaller teams. Properly making MLS work like all the other leagues in the world. LigaMX is the best example to follow as they have a coefficient to determine who gets relegated. That way it makes impossible for the strongest team to ever get relegated even if they have several bad seasons.
