Dumb rule
VARdrid
We all know how it works
If the shooter falls, touch twice and fail penalty… it's ok, but if the shooter strikes…you have to repeat penalty, if you count it as fail, means double sanction, these rules aren't fair
One thing i know for a fact it's that in the near future we would be back again with the same exact argument and in that time truths would be spoken
Fifa new yes man HEN-RY WASNT GOOD THEN EVEN WORSE NOW
if it was against real madrid nobody would be sad
Classic case of don't hate the player, hate the game
they used technology … human eye can't detect it …. 😂
It's a stupid rule because he slipped and barely touched the ball and the ball did not even move.
CONSISTENCY IS KEY SO THATS WHY WE ARE MAD ABOUT THE DECISION
Don't really get some people excuses that it's harsh since it was unintentional slip or hardly affected the trajectory. If we start having variances in these tight situations, then there will be even bigger outrage since who defines when it's "barely affecting" the game? Should 1 cm benefit in offside be counted? How about 1.5cm? Who should decide when margin is large enough? It will just become such a slippery slope that we could just throw rules out of the window. Same here in this situation, double touch is clear and being intentional or not, doesn't matter. Simple and clear rule to follow.
Absolutely anything to get real through
Messi did a double touch penalty in the world cup, and it was definitely obvious. But it counted as a goal. 😐
It’s only a retake if the right Madrid does it…
It’s only a retake if the right Madrid does it…
It should of been a redo penalty , that was way too harsh rules are rules but that minute mistake costed them the whole game
15 champions of corruption what did you expect
The rule also says: It's needed an "evident displacement ".
I'm with Micah on this.
Game wa rigged, they wanted Madrid to qualify
The rule is stupid. The penalty needs to be repeated
Can you retake in a shootout or not? If so then Madrid just change the rules
Dida was lucky they didnt have var in 2003
No it’s not the rule. There two rules Messi/ Real Madrid can do anything and for the rest you have rules. I am very disapointed at Henry
Ball don't lie. Real madrid won't go far with this unfair win
In a penalty, the goalkeeper is ALWAYS at a disadvantage. If the goalkeeper makes a mistake and doesn't step on the line, it is retaken, and the disadvantage remains the same and it is his mistake. However, when it is the shooter who makes the mistake, if the penalty is retaken, the goalkeeper will be at a double disadvantage. Since a penalty will always be advantageous to the shooter, even the smallest error, such as a double touch, is not allowed, even if it is minuscule. The rules are the rules.
Players get paid millions to play and know the rules period. And if messy gets away with this that just tells us the fifa is corrupt
I think if he touches slightly or it is touched he should retake the prn like when a keeper goes out side the line then the oen needs to be retaken
