  1. Few coaches can repeat success in different environment’s once you control for quality of the players and the money available to spend. A good manager will adapt his tactical approach to maximise the talents of the players at his disposal. Ineos have hired a fundamentalist, who insists on a style of play regardless of the suitability of the players. A tactical approach that is successful in one environment can fail in another. This isn’t on Amorim, it’s ineos choosing the wrong coach and rather than acting swiftly, they’re prepared to drag this out and live in hope that he’ll walk just to save face. It’s a disaster.

  2. It's a mirage that Arsenal have the best defence, as they play with 4CBs and 3DMs at all times and park the bus and just rely on corners and hope the ref doesn't notice their pushing and shoving. Not to mention all the rolling around on the ground and time wasting. As soon as they have to move up the pitch and actually try to play, they get exposed big time.

  3. People used to say that Ferguson wasn’t tactically this or tactically that… and now days he would be considered to not have a ‘philosophy’ but you know what his philosophy was…. winning football matches, wining trophies and sensing what was needed at any given stage of a match and season… I’m sick and tired of every single manager trying to be Pep Guardiola… all the best managers can adapt… and I’m not suggesting don’t have patterns of play or a broad set of rules that you set your team up by…. but f’k a duck, surely the mark of any manager is his ability to sniff out what the game situation requires… anyone can set a team up in the same way week in week out and hope for the best… that’s what I used to do on football manager ffs and if you’re not getting the results you expect surely you have to adapt!!!? 😂😂 even the greatest minds in football history tweak and change things to maximise their possibilities and keep things fresh…. 😮

  4. He’s absolutely right, why should he change his philosophy? He should be allowed to carry on as he is the manager and it’s his team. Don’t listen to them Amorim, keep going!

    Sincerely,
    A Liverpool fan

  5. Amorim Tactic : How to take premier league Team towards relegation. But sure Philosophy 😅 of not having back to back wins even once in entire season
