Roma are coming off a rough faux-pas versus Cremonese that had also eliminated them in Coppa Italia. Juventus staged a great comeback in the Turin Derby.

  1. If Roma had played like this against Cremonese they would have won.

Ditto against Lazio or Atalanta or Napoli at home, they would earned at least a draw instead of losing.

Their problem is once they play well then for two weeks they are playing like Dead Man Walking.

Consistency is the mark of a professional. Every amateur can turn up once in a while with a good result.

They have a long way to go to be a professional team. But at least they got the right coach.

For the club & players sake I hope they perform well so Mourinho stays with them. But a few matches like versus Cremonese, & he will leave.

  2. This goes to show how the reaction foul always gets punished more than the original. Mancini's foul on him was at least a yellow and a red would have been reasonable as well. He first stops the play by just throwing Kean to the ground; then he pointlessly drags him for a few yards before kneeing him in the chest. The kick seemed a reaction to the knee, and Mancini made the most of it. If Kean had kept his head he might have been a man up rather than a man down in those last few minutes.

  3. Gonna be honest, I’m on Kean’s side with the tackle. Got held back on the ball when he was trying to run toward it, Mancini acted like he was doing nothing wrong, Kean lashes out, and Mancini falls to the ground in a very fake way. I would’ve given them both yellows, but of course refs these days can’t tell a legitimate tackle, if they ever really could.
